After the Fringe

It has been six days since we packed up in Edinburgh and hit the road south. Most of our stuff was put into the van, leaving the back of the car as a rabbit playground for the 8 hour journey home.

We broke the trip by overnighting after a three hours driving, as we usually try to do on long journeys and then Debbie and I shared the driving the next day.

Despite getting bills and the like sent on to us by our housekeeper/sitter/plant watering person we were still met by a mountain of mail, unpacking, sorting out and washing and ironing. That's the 'ugh' part of a season away.

At the end of this blog I will attach all the other stuff we got up to in Edinburgh which might make for a boring read but will show you what happens during the daytime, interviews on interviews on interviews...

Of course when we got home the work continued, certainly regarding the coming tour (why do people nowadays say 'upcoming'?). Martin and Andi came down for a meeting and we hammered out the details of the contents of the show. At the same time the Penn and Teller's Fool Us TV show was aired as the finale of the series and we were featured as the closing act. That got rave reviews from Twitter, Facebook, emails and the like. We were not there to 'fool 'em', our job was to surprise them, and I think we did that.

The Phantom Illusion used to close the live show when Martin was in it years ago and I wanted to use it on the coming tour but now many people have viewed it on TV I was puzzled as to how we could still entertain with it in theatres. Well, the good news is that we will have a different ending to the Phantom when it goes on tour, if I can get the props pulled together in 10 days!

Since that meeting Debbie and I have been working hard on props, costumes and the like. The rabbits have been enjoying being back on the grass in their 'home run' and the weather has been glorious.

Today Gary will arrive and we will work on Flying Carpets for the pantomime season... it'll soon be Christmas!

Here's the list of interviews... it'll help you go to sleep...
