The last few weeks have been so very hectic. Up and down the country like a yo-yo, meetings to sort out the coming year, what a kerfuffle.
The biggy is that the warehouses and containers are now all empty and that site is now sold. Yippee. It has taken 3 years, but it's over. All the illusions have gone to good homes and I know will be refurbished and cared for.
That's important because quite a few of them are unique in the world of magic and it would have been awful if I had to destroy them. I do wish however that I could have done the loading up on a warmer days; it was freezing up there near Doncaster in open countryside. Now my only reason to visit that area will be to visit Lewis and Camilla, my grandchildren... and there's no better excuse than that.
If you look at the dates listed on this website you will see that I am having to do a lot of organising of props and posters and leaflets and accommodation for the coming shows. It's a very interesting list but when you take on a tour, as I have in the Autumn, you can only pray to the Gods that the media and the theatre managers will let everyone in their areas know that a completely different style of comedy show is going arrive in their venue.
Good news for me is that both Debbie and Martin will be on tour with me and that will make for a much better show.
The Udderbelly show (that's a 500 seater upside down inflatable cow) will be me on my own.
The Lafayette show two days later will be me, Debbie and Scott Penrose.
The Fringe show will be me and Debbie.
The tour, at the moment, will be me, Debbie and Martin.
What a good year to look forward to.
Not only that, we are now in the lounge at Heathrow waiting to go to New Zealand, Australia, back to New Zealand, across the South Seas visiting places like Pago Pago, Fiji and Hawaii before getting to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I am so glad I learnt those card tricks!

I cant begin to tell you how much i wish i could see the lafayette show. Of all the clasic magicians from the past, He has been one that i have found facinating, only because i was born on may 9th, the aniversary of his death. sounds like it could be a great event.:)
I wish I could make the Fringe show. However it feels wonderful knowing there's going to be magic at the UdderBelly South Bank thing (just seen that Charlie Cox will be on the week before as well so I foresee a few trips to London in my near future. I wonder how much of this renaissance can be linked to the two prime time magic shows that saw the new year in.

It was so nice to see you in Auckland at the Rydges Hotel (bar & Redcar races memories) A couple of pesky brits wanted to just say hello how are ya?? It's a shame you aren't coming to sunny Napier on the North Island, you'd love it here. Have a great trip in the Southern hemisphere, you should consider coming over here to entertain us with one of your shows, what a great excuse to come back to NZ.
